In 2 weeks, my partner in crime is coming to visit! We have adventured, travelled, laughed, cried (one of us anyway) and basically have made sure we have fun no matter what every time we are together.
We lived together for 2 years in Albania. Backpacked though Eastern Europe together for 6 weeks. And yet we are still friends. Which means we will always be friends – especially since I refuse to let more than 3 hours go by without sending awkward stories, comments & life commentary her way. That’s right I’m talking about the one and only Nicole Schara!
This picture pretty much sums up our friendship!
She is venturing into the southland to stay with me for a week as I show her Atlanta and of course North & South Carolina. After living & traveling together and basically being together 24/7 for the past couple years, there are a few rules I follow to make sure we stay friends.
1) Nothing either of us says on an empty stomach can be held against us.
2) No matter how much I have to say, I cannot talk to Nicole for at least 30 minutes after she gets up.
3) If Nicole has her thinking cap on I have to give her at least 10 minutes of peace & quiet. Which is really hard because she always chooses times when I have a lot to say. Sometimes I think she does this on purpose because she knows it’s hard for me.
4) Food, sleep & showers are the bare essentials to keep Nicole happy.
5) Nicole can’t stay mad at me forever!!
But in all honesty, number 5 is the only one I need to remember – right Nicole?
Can’t wait to see what adventures we get ourselves into!
wish we were there! Have an awesome time together. What an incredible God putting you two together for amazing journeys. Don’t forget the coke factory and I think you have forgotten to mention chickens.
Haha. There are no chicken in the south… Except maybe fried chicken but that’s tolerable as long as I don’t have to eat it. 😉
Also, Katie, do I get mad that often that it warranted its own bullet point? #obobo. Please forgive me, I know not what I do. :-O
There aren’t too many live chickens in this city 😉 And Nicole you don’t get mad that often – that’s the whole point moohaha I can basically get away with anything 🙂
