I finally found out the answer to one of life’s most difficult and dirtiest questions here in Albania. There has been one thing I have always struggled with here and I’m afraid I will always struggle.
You see, Albanians have this amazing talent of being able to walk in mud without getting any on their shoes. It’s an amazing gift, especially here with all the mud. But I never knew how they did it…until now.
I asked Ida the other day how they never ever get mud on their shoes. She said you just learn how to do it. When you are a child, you get mud everywhere but you learn where you should walk so by the time you’re older, you don’t get mud on your shoes anymore.
Amazing!
I am stiff competition for the little kids though.
That makes so much sense, but it something I would never think of!
