Nicole & I decided to take a day trip to Oswiecim, Poland. We weren’t sure if it would really be worth figuring out how to get there or not but it definitely was. Once you arrived you could just sense the heaviness and dark history of the place.
They let you take pictures of most of the 2 camps but the photos don’t do it justice. It doesn’t matter how much you read or study about the Holocaust, being there is just something you can’t describe in words or capture in photos.
We saw a train car where they would cram so many people in, that they couldn’t even get out once they arrived.
We saw the platform that the trains would fill up & people would get out and immediately be divided into live & die lines.
We saw where prisoners lived, died & were punished. Below is one of the gas chambers.
