Took city bus to city
–Cost 70RSD

We took an overnight train and upgraded to couchettes. You do not want to have to sit up all night. We had a 6 person couchette car but only one other person was in there with us so it wasn’t super cramped. It actually wasn’t as bad as what we had read about online. We lucked out and had a pretty good experience!

Lodging:
San Art Floating Hostel
–3 Nights
–Cost 5500RSD/person for 3 nights

This was my favorite hostel. Literally sitting right on the Danube. I would go back to Belgrade just to stay here. It is family owned and run so it is very homey and they are very helpful. They are always around if you need but they don’t hover! Homemade breakfast of your choice was offered each morning along with juice and a Serbian coffee!

Food:
Meals – 3040.44RSD
Coffee – 1465RSD
Snacks –

Serbian coffee is a must try.

Tourist Things:
Postcards – 156RSD
Magnet – 210RSD
Stamps – 100RSD

Belgrade Total: 114.75€

Things to do if you find yourself in Belgrade:
1) Stay at the San Art Floating Hostel. It’s a floating hostel. On the Danube! What other reasons do you need? The staff is super nice and helpful. They make you a homemade breakfast. IMAGE_591

2) Have a cup of Serbian coffee. It’s similar to Turkish & Bosnian coffee but is still different (& goes great with the breakfast from San Art).

3) Walk up to Gardoš tower. It’s a bit of a walk but has a nice view of the old city. There’s also a place to get coffee or water at the top.
