The bus was actually really nice. It was aircontioned and the driver never once turned on the heat. We were served 3 drinks – water, coffee/tea & fanta! You know it’s high class if they serve fanta! They even had fruitcake for a dessert though I passed on that.

Lodging:
Hotel Olympia
— 1 Night
–Cost $34.87/person for 1 night

The hotel had very modern branding and decor which I like, of course! The rooms were small but it was in a pretty good location. They had a great free breakfast in the morning with lots of variety!

Food:
Meals – 22.68€
Coffee – 7.25
Snacks – 4.85€

The food was good but when you eat at restaurants, be careful. They will bring out a basket of bread that you would think is free. But they charge you for it. The second time this happened we didn’t eat it and still got charged for it. So don’t let them set it on the table. They will do this with “complementary” drinks at the end too. Pretty much everything is overpriced as well.

Total: 123.27€

Things to do if you find yourself in Thessaloniki:
1) Visit the White Tower. It’s at the end of the boardwalk so you can also take a nice stroll along the waterfront as well!

2) Have a frappe. They are pretty good here!

3) Try grilled feta cheese. This is probably my favorite Greek/Mediterranean dish. But if it comes with bread, they are probably charging you separate for that!

Check out Thessaloniki in photos!
